About Me.I am a incoming assistant professor in the department of biology at University of Miami (Go Canes!), starting January 2022. I am completing an NIH National Institute for Environmental Health and Safety K99/R00 fellowship. I study the environmental determinants of social behavior in wild and domesticated animals.
Through experiences in animal behavior, social networks, sensory physiology, environmental toxicology, entrepreneurship, and working with diverse cultures, my aim is to understand the environmental impact of physical parameters on social behavior, and develop commercializable tools, while advancing people from marginalized groups. |
Research.
Goals
The goals of my research program are as follows: • Excellence in Research: develop an extramurally-funded research program in environmental psychology, • Entrepreneurial Ventures: invent commercializable technologies, • Broader Impacts: provide a scientific basis for human health and conservation decisions, and • Growing Talent: train diverse postdocs, graduates and undergraduates in basic and applied research. |
